Pooja Banerjee is an Indian television Actress and Model. Pooja Banerjee was born on 8 November 1991 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. She belongs to a Bengali Hindu family. She was fond of acting and dancing since childhood.
Pooja Banerjee completed her schooling at Kendra Bindu School and College at Hislop College, Nagpur. He pursued his graduation in Bachelor of Commerce and completed his post-graduation Master in English Literature. She has represented Maharashtra in national-level swimming tournaments.
Pooja is married to Olympian swimmer Sandeep Sejwal. He won a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke at the 2014 Asian Games. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. This couple was in a relationship. In 2016, this couple got married with Bengali customs.
Pooja Banerjee Career
Pooja moved to Mumbai from Nagpur in 2011. She started his journey in Mumbai with Season 8 of MTV Channel’s show “MTV Roadies”. She appeared as a contestant in this show. After this, she got an opportunity to make her acting debut with the TV show “Ek Dusse Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum”.
She got fame in the television industry from the 2015 TV show Swim Team. In this show, she played the lead role of Riva Mathur. After this show, she appeared in many TV serials like Nagarjuna – Ek Yoddha, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Dil Hi To Hai, Chandra Nandini, etc.
She also worked in several TV series such as Vrinda in Kainaat, Sarvagun Sampanna as Swara, Devon Ke Dev – Devi Parvati as Mahadev, Qubool Hai as Afreen, Dr. Everyone Feels Dar in the form of Radhika.
She is also popular for reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, Comedy Nights Bachao, Comedy Classes, Comedy Nights Live, Big Boss Bangla and Comedy Dangal, etc.
Pooja Banerjee made her Bengali film debut with Macho Mastana (2012). Her Hindi debut film was Rajdhani Express.
She is currently playing the lead role in Sony Tv’s show “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2” She is playing the lead role of Pihu in this series alongside Niti Taylor, Randeep Rai, Leenesh Mattoo, Hiten Tejwani. Pooja Banerjee got hugely famous and popular with the Television serial “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2” In 2023.
